LIFE CRISIS BEGAN IN 2001 IN SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA. THEY WENT THROUGH SIX INCARNATIONS, WITH SEAN KEOUGH ON BASS AND VOCALS THROUGH THE ENTIRETY OF THE BAND'S EXISTENCE. TIM HELTON WAS THE FIRST DRUMMER, FOLLOWED BY JP, THEN ADAM CRISIS, WHO PLAYED UNTIL THE END OF THE BAND. MIKE SPRALDING OF TITANARUM PLAYED GUITAR ALMOST THE ENTIRE TIME, UP UNTIL THE LAST LINE UP. MIKE ESTRADA PLAYED SECOND GUITAR IN THE FIRST THREE LINE UPS, AFTER WHICH MIKE PLAYED GUITAR IN THE FOURTH LINEUP WITH NO ADDITIONAL GUITAR, THEN ROB LOGIC OF THE MICE AND THE HOMELESS SEXUALS WAS ADDED ON SECOND GUITAR. ROB PLAYED PRIMARY GUITAR AFTER MIKE LEFT IN THE FINAL LINE UP. DREW DONOGHUE FROM THE WASTRELS PLAYED BASS IN THE FIFTH AND SIXTH LINE UPS, WITH SEAN FOCUSING ONLY ON VOCALS. EVERYBODY GOT ALL THAT?
THEY RELEASED THEIR FIRST EP "UNPEACEFUL PROTEST" ON 7 INCH VINYL ON SEAN'S LABEL GET REVENGE! RECORDS. THEY WERE ALSO FEATURED ON THE SICK OF TALK RECORDS 7 INCH COMPILATION UNSCENE EFFORT VOLUME 2½. IN 2005 THEY RELEASED THIS FOLLOW UP 7 INCH, "CHURCHSTATE," ON DEEP SIX RECORDS, RECORDED AND MIXED BY JEFF FORREST AT DOUBLETIME STUDIOS. AFTER SEVERAL U.S. TOURS, LIFE CRISIS SPLIT FOR GOOD, BUT SOON AFTER, PAST MEMBERS FORMED THE BAND DEATH CRISIS.
